I’ll be getting my micros in this Thursday, so I have to go ahead and enjoy this head of hair that I have. Here are a few of the products that you all MUST know about and enjoy!
Aveda Damage Remedy and Sap Moss are my all time favorite hair products thus far. Using Damage Remedy to prevent damage and breakage is the best idea yet. I use the conditioner and restructuring treatment once or twice a week. Sap Moss is my everyday moisturizing line. I can run my hands through my hair without a problem, and I definitely have much less shedding than ever before. My hair is retaining its length because of these products! (I’m going to get a bottle with a spout, and dilute the shampoo and conditioner so that I can use them while I am braided.) These lines are great for natural and relaxed heads. Too bad I didn’t find out about Aveda haircare a year ago, my relaxed hair might not have been so damaged and thin!
Mixed Chicks products are genius. I never knew how many curls that I really had until I used the shampoo, deep conditioner and leave in conditioner from this line. My natural spirals came to existence using this stuff!!! I already gave you the scoop with Aveda’s Be Curly Curl Enhancer, and the four of these products together are UNSTOPPABLE. These work well for naturals that have a natural curl pattern. If you don’t have a pattern, I’m not sure how much these products can do for you.
I also really, really love Redken’s Hair Cleansing Creme. It’s a clarifier, which gets rid of all the old product buildup that sits on the scalp and in the hair. It leaves your hair super squeaky clean afterward. It doesn’t necessarily strip the hair, but you need to use a good deep conditioner afterward. Whether you are relaxed or natural, this is something I highly recommend.
Back when I was relaxed, I loved Miss Key 10 en 1 conditioner. The site says that “Super Conditoner 10 en 1 contains a mix of the 10 most important products for hair damaged by dyes and sun’s harmful effects. It is tropicalized for all hair types.” I used it overnight or while I was just hangin’ around the house. Just put some in my hair, put on a shower cap to let it really penetrate, than put on a scarf or a wig. It was more of a pre-shampoo or a pre-deep conditioner. I’d follow up with Mizani or Keracare products, you’ll get the scoop on them later!
And as I close this post, I will again rave for Boundless Tresses. I use it daily, and my hair has been growing like a weed. I have all of my edges back! I trimmed my hair a week and a half ago, and I honestly can’t tell. I’m not saying I get an inch of new growth a week, but I definitely get more growth than I naturally would. My hair grows slower than you can imagine, stupid slow. This serum is odor free (but there is also a bottle that you can purchase with a scent) and will last you for a month or so if you use it as directed. I will never run out, because when I am low, I always have a new bottle being delivered! Check out her testimonial page, those reviews are true!
If you are trying to make your relaxer or braids last and stay fresh, don’t use it. Your hair WILL grow, thus destroying that fresh look! Gotta love it!
Just an FYI, I don’t make money from mentioning any particular product, so I have nothing to gain by telling you all about my beauty finds! I have many more product lines to let you know about, including Keracare, Mizani, Elasta QP, Frederic Fekkai, Kiehl’s, and many more!
Enjoy, discover and let your hair thrive!
