You’ll receive no spoilers from me, but I must let you know that Sex And The City was all that I could have hoped for, and much, much more. It was absolutely amazing, and I absolutely will be going to see it again! Best. Chick. Flick. Ever. (Or maybe I am just biased because I’ve loved the girls since ’98.) I went to the noon showing, and there were oodles of women there, and they all had the “Oh-My-Gosh-The-Day-Has-Arrived” glow, just like me!!! Of course we had to have Cosmopolitans afterward (3 pm)..and umm, we had WAY too many of those!!! All of my friends called me today because they just knew that I’d see it opening day. And I had to give them the scoop, because naturally, most of them are males that have no desire to see the movie what so ever. As I rambled on and on about the movie, they grew tired and promptly gave me a “Oh ok, glad you liked it. I gotta go.” The Fashion. The Script. The Emotions. Amazing, I can’t get enough!!! So, grab your girls and see the movie this weekend! Don’t forget the tissues!!!! As for me…I’ll be reading the official SATC blog…again.

I’m at my computer feeling very Carrie-esque. I mean, how dare I say all that. But I can’t help it. I’m sitting at my desk watching Sex and The City ( Carrie writes the poem for Miranda’s decorator’s wedding) in my new Kenneth Cole over sized, super comfy wool sweater. Come on, it was on sale. Anyway, I am so dumb stupid crazy excited, because Scandalous Beauty is making a name for itself!!! As I am perusing MySpace, I see that Kevin Bennett has wrote about us! Make Up For Ever is taking over my vanity, and I’m sure it will have that affect on you too, sooner rather than later. If you don’t know about Mr. Bennett, you’ve got to do your research!! He is now the newest mastermind at Make Up For Ever, he’s full of personality and zest!!! Love him!!!
Also, my imaginary uncle Billy B. has also given us a shout out!! You all know how I feel about him, and now he definitely knows, because he commented on the video that I devoted to him!!! 4 days to go….
It’s felt like an absolute eternity waiting for May 30th to arrive!! When I first got the Sex and The City widget, I remember it saying 78 days to go. Now, I am prepping for Friday!!! Since I realized there will be midnight showings, I’ll take one for the team and be at the movies Thursday night. I’m doubled over in excitement!!
I’ve loved watching TV and seeing the various ads and seeing magazines on newsstands and all of the hype over the net. Looks like me and the girls will have to go to TGI Fridays to have Cosmopolitans before hand, since nothing else will be open that late!
I’m debating whether or not to get the soundtrack, but I guess I should check out the movie first to see if the songs are any good. I definitely love the jazzy version of the theme song. I rolled on over to Amazon.com to see the artists on the CD, and the only people I have heard of are Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, India Arie and Nina Simone. Guess I’ll check out the movie before making any rash decisions.
