I stumbled upon the Black Opal Foundation legacy just over a year ago. Now, I use the stick not only for clients, but for myself. Usually I use this particular foundation for a full coverage look, although it can be used for light to medium coverage as well. I like the effect of wearing Truly Topaz, a much lighter, cooler shade to highlight. Call me extreme, but it’s great. I stumbled upon a new combo this weekend; Hazelnut on the inside of my face and Beautiful Bronze on the perimeter. It was beyond fantastic! Much more natural looking. I’d definitely say it’s a rival for the only other foundation stick that I’ve tried, MAC. Just keep in mind that extra powder is a must, this foundation can get oily over time.
Well, Black Opal finally stepped into 2010 and you can now purchase their products directly from their site. They don’t have all the shades that I saw in the store, but maybe they are discontinued. Next on my list to try are the creamy lipsticks , Flawless Perfecting Concealer and the Invisible Oil Blocking Loose Powder. I’ve got a tutorial for the foundation sticks below, I hope it helps!
