Date Night Beauty with Cover Girl Queen

It’s date night! You know that magical night where you and your significant other (or love interest) go out to have an enchanted evening? Sometimes it’s dinner and a movie, a concert, a friend’s house. As you can imagine, this look can go for a variety of occasions. Even if there isn’t a red carpet leading up to your event, you can look and feel just as glamorous.

Here’s how I get ready:

Prep the heck out of your skin. This is when I go all out. I love a good scrub that can slough off all of that nasty crap. From there, I cleanse the skin. Afterward, I tend to add my serums and moisturizers. Right now, I double up my serums, then add a moisturizer. I follow up with eye cream, because apparently I’m at that age that I should be preventing wrinkles. After that, I usually spray with an H20 mist.

2. Flirty makeup always works. I love a bronzy pink cheek and pouty pink or neutral lips. Emphasis is always on the eyes. You want to bat at that bad boy and keep him under your spell. In this case, try COVERGIRL® Clump Crusher Mascara. Remember when I interviewed Allure Magazine’s associate editor Sophia Panych? She raved over this mascara! They say it can’t produce any clumps, and it hasn’t. Plus, it delivers its promise of voluminous lashes!

I had a brief stint where I went on a crazy nail-biting binge. I shouldn’t have, but the stress was getting to me! This week, I’m trying COVERGIRL® Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss. My mom has also been wearing it for the last few days, and you’d never guess that we aren’t wearing department store brands. It delivers high gloss with no top coat or base coat needed!

3. I’m not much of a fashionista, but I always have a little black dress on deck in order to keep up. They work for almost any occasion, work, church, a night out, you name it! If I’m going to work or church, I would likely pair it with a cardigan or blazer. For this night out, I’ll wear it by itself.

4. I almost always prefer to keep my hair in an up-do. It takes the look from good to regal. This loc bun tutorial has given me so many compliments, I’m sure it’ll be my signature.

5. I’m not the biggest jewelry person, but I can’t be without it. I don’t do arm parties, but I do love a simple necklace and earrings, or a bracelet. Gold always wins for me.

I keep it pretty simple, so my red carpet ready is a great haircut, a little mascara and a beautiful outfit.

I don’t wear jewelry often but for a special night out a pair of super sparkly dangling earrings makes me feel glamorous.

I am an natural person. I don’t wear makeup and my idea of dressing up is my good t-shirt and cargo pants. LOL That said, I will throw on a pair of sparkly earrings and a long silver chain with a crystal pendant to add some glitter to my casual look and it always gets noticed!
