While I love a good liquid foundation as much as the next person, nothing’s as chic as a naturally matte face. I always carry a pigmented powder to apply with or without foundation. Make Up For Ever has launched a new revolutionary powder that gives sheer to full coverage. Introducing Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation! It can be used wet or dry to give you the desired effect. What makes this powder totally different is the technique to apply it. For a more natural, sheer effect, apply the foundation wet with a sponge. For a full coverage matte look, apply it dry. Backwards, right? Wrong!
But wait..
I know the directions say to use the foundation wet, but I’ve had one too many bad experiences where I’ve ruined products doing just that. Then you have to scrape them to get rid of that weird “film” or cakey unusable patch that you’ve created. I’d much rather just apply some on a brush and spritz it with a mist to soften it.
I wanted to demo the product for you, but unfortunately, these powders don’t match my skin. I never felt that the Duo Matte foundations really matched my skin, so I’m looking forward to this new formula and shade range. There are 25 colors to choose from, so I’m sure these will be much more accurate! These are $36, and can be found here at Sephora.
