Beauty Sale: 50% Off The Best (In My Opinion) Milani Products!

same day payday loan

It’s my humble opinion that Milani makes some great stuff. They make some great inexpensive stuff at that. They’ve got a coupon for 50% limited edition and discontinued products in “The Closet“. Two of my favorite products are in “the closet”.  These are the quads and singles.  Honestly, I think Milani is making a massive mistake by getting rid of these.  Unless they are repackaging, this is just a bad idea. The Shadow Quads and Singles easily rival my MAC shadows. My only other Milani fave has been the Crystal Glosses.

Please understand that this makes the quads $3, and the singles $2.  If you’ve been looking for new products, here is your chance! Here’s a really large dupe list if you need ideas.

I’d love to post some swatches, but I’m in class right now.  If you are looking for a few great neutrals, I recommend the Touch of Brown, Earthly Delights and Sedona Sunsets quads. If you want the singles, Java Bean, Blue Ice, Golden Bronze, Sun Goddess and Flare!

Visit The Closet To get the discount, use code “CLOSET” at checkout! This coupon expires on Monday the 31st, so act fast!  Happy shopping!

Scott Barnes Flossy Glossy

vividscandayOne of the best brands ever. That’s a big claim to make, but it’s true.  Before I begin, I’ll just tell you that this makeup is pricey.  Never forget, you get what you pay for! Many of these products were made specifically for (and used on) Jennifer Lopez. The brand screams luxury and sexiness. I could go on for days about SB, but the product that I’ll rave about today is Flossy Glossy lip gloss.  The texture, color payoff and finish of these glosses are outstanding.  I’ve been writing about the brand for years, most of which created while the brand was still in production.  Now, I get e-mails, messages, and tweets from makeup fans who are dying to get the products.  I kid you not! In the picture to the right, I’m wearing the color “Vivid”.  I love how extreme, yet amazing it looks!

Scott Barnes Body Bling, cream body bronzer has been available for some time now.  It gives skin the “just got back from vacationing in St. Tropez” look. I’ve never seen anyone with brown skin use it, so I don’t know if it has the ashy look. But on fair to medium complexions, it’s freakin’ hot! Want to see how to use it? Check out this video demonstration!

JJ 055

I realized that one of my favorite shades, Whisper, isn’t pictured! It’s a stunning creamy coral! Here’s a picture of me wearing it during my Janet Jackson Concert makeover! Remember that? The artist, Preston, created this look from random products that I happened to have in my train case.  This is just the way he would do JJ’s makeup while she’s on stage!

Again, these products are over very limited stock. Scott will be relaunching the brand late in 2010, and also has a book coming out, About Face: Amazing Transformations Using the Secrets of the Top Celebrity Makeup Artist. Lucky for us, The Beauty Closet in California still has a few of them in stock! Don’t miss out!!!

Discontinued Hits: I Iman Cosmetics

scanday

I-Iman was one of my favorite brands of the early 2000′s. I wish I bought more than this teeny collection I have here. You never really know when a collection is going to bite the dust until it happens! This line of cosmetics is completely different than Iman Cosmetics, now found nationwide. The I-Iman line was more modern and trendy, appealing to a younger, funkier audience. I was a senior in high school at the time. Broke. But worked my butt off to get my beauty goodies!

This eye shadow palette was one of my favorite purchases in the world. It has powder and cream shadows in a wide array of colors. When I ordered it from Sephora, I was ecstatic! Now, I only use it occasionally for conservation purposes.

This blush stick is still one of my all time favorites. The burnt copper color (#09) is one of a kind! I found out about it when I bought the look in a box. The color was so great, I bought the full size. I apply it directly to the apple of my cheek and blend with my thumb. I even wore this as my eye shadow for prom! It creased like crazy, I didn’t understand the whole “eye shadow base” thing back then!

I *heart* Scott Barnes

Goodness gracious. I have found a line of makeup that is in its own luxe category. Scott Barnes is one of the hottest, freshest, sexiest lines I have ever played with. Does his name sound familiar? He’s the Makeup Artist that supposedly dished all the dirt about his ex-client, Jennifer Lopez. But hey, this isn’t a gossip column, just hoping to refresh your memories!

Doesn’t she look hot in this pic from InStyle magazine?? He beat her face good!!! (Just to clarify, to “beat a face” means to do gorgeous makeup.)

Here’s a teeny summary.

Flossy Glossy lipgloss is impeccible. I was astonished at the depth of color in the tube. With the slightest touch of the brush to my lips, color exploded onto my mouth! Even from a distance, the sparkle from the gloss was insane. Ugh, I can’t explain it enough! There are 13 luscious shades, and I guarantee I will have all of them by the end of the year. I tried Black Currant, a deep eggplant, perfect for a night out. I can see it now: a sexy black dress, patent leather pumps, a neutral eye, Marisa lashes and this gloss. Yum. I also tried Vivid, described on the site as a luscious fuschia. If you like bold lips, here ya go. To lighten it up, put on a clear gloss, then dab a teeny bit of the Vivid right on top. Yum again.

Eye Ice looks like alot of fun! I didn’t get to play with them, but I really want to. Scottbarnes.com says “The loose shimmering powder of Eye Ice enhances and adds radiant versatility to eyes. With Eye Ice, Scott Barnes enables women to communicate with their most expressive and elusive feature – the window to their souls. Simply frost eyes with a dusting of ice to convey an aura of mystery and glamour, as the colors subtly transform in different lights and angles.” Sounds like a winner to me!

Cream Concealer was also pretty darn impressive. The dark color has alot of orange to it, which is actually a good thing, because orange can help neutralize brown skin. There aren’t alot of colors to choose from, but the consistency of the product is excellent. I had to use it sparingly to make sure it didn’t alter the color of my foundation, but otherwise, it’s a potential keeper.

I have a few other favorites that I played with, but I am going to have to give you the scoop on them a bit later. Can’t dish everything right now, you know???

All of the links and pictures posted are for Saks.com, but feel free to view the entire line of Scott Barnes cosmetics on ScottBarnes.com.

Until next time…stay Fab!!!
